FCPHR Nomination Submission Guidelines


The Fellow CPHR award is a prestigious honorary award that recognizes members of the Human Resources Association of Manitoba who have made exemplary contributions to the profession. The FCPHR recognizes leadership, outstanding achievement and exceptional contribution to the profession.


FCPHR Nominees must meet the following minimum requirements:


  1. Current CPHR designation held for a minimum of 5 years
  2. Minimum of 10 years of HR experience
  3. Be a member in good standing of the HRMAM
  4. Be physically located in Manitoba
  5. The candidate is an active HR practitioner and he/she must be prepared to recertify as a CPHR as per existing provincial/national guidelines
  6. Cannot be on CPHR Canada/HRMAM or national committees

To nominate an exceptional CPHR for this award, you must complete the following documents:


Step 1: Nomination form


Step 2: Nominee’s biography

Please ensure the following information is included:

  • Academic and professional degrees
  • Work and volunteer history
  • Clear examples of exemplary HR leadership and community involvement

Step 3: Submit three (3) letters of support outlining exemplary contributions in at least three of the five key areas.  Each letter must provide clear, detailed examples of the Nominee’s experience in three of the following five areas:

  1. Strategic Positioning of the Human Resources profession
  2. Advocacy on behalf of the HR Profession to government policy makers 
  3. Social Responsibility and connection to the community 
  4. Contribution to the HR Profession through collaboration with other local, provincial, and.or national community groups and associations 
  5. Service to the HR Community through development, sharing and promotion of innovative HR ideas, policies and practices

Assessment Guidelines:


Each of the submissions in Step 3 should include clear and concise examples using 500 words or less and including the following details:

  • Outline of the situation
  • Actions taken and others involved
  • Behaviours of the Nominee to contribute to the event or project
  • Results or outcome
  • Successes and challenges and how the Nominee responded
  • Overall impact to the profession and community

A Nominee will have exemplified the values in HRMAM's Code of Ethics & Rules of Professional Conduct and have shown adherence to the statutory acts, regulations and by-laws of the HRMAM.

 

Submissions must be submitted to the HRMAM office by December 31st annually.
