Rick Schmidt

Rick has been mediating since 1991, when he joined Mediation Services' ‘Victim-Offender’ reconciliation program. In 1996, he left a successful business partnership in an insurance brokerage, to pursue graduate studies and full-time practice in conflict resolution. In addition to his private practice as a mediator & facilitator, he teaches conflict resolution (CR) skills courses at the University of Wpg and Canadian Mennonite University, leads CR training workshops, and does private CR coaching in a wide variety of situations. He’s also an associate trainer with Winnipeg’s Resolution Skills Centre. And, on a good day, he practices what he preaches, even at home.
