All Access: Accessibility Best Practices for Your Organization

CPHR Manitoba and the Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities (MLPD) have partnered to present All Access: Accessibility Best Practices for Your Organization workshop.

An interactive full-day workshop that will demystify the requirements of the new accessibility legislation, and empower participants with the tools and knowledge they need to guide their business or organization on how to implement best practices with practical solutions to meet the requirements of the Accessibility for Manitobans Act. 

Participants will hear directly from members of the disability community, while receiving the required training on the Human Rights Code, the Accessibility for Manitobans Act, the Customer Service Standard, and the Employment Standard.  Participants will take away draft policies and emergency plans for implementation in their own organizations.

Jamie Dumont is a skilled workshop designer and facilitator who believes that people learn best when they have to work for it a bit, and delivers high-engagement workshops that maximize opportunity for participation, and problem solving.  This brings energy and creativity to the learning process, and empowers participants to try out and apply their new skills in practical ways both inside and outside of the workplace.  Jamie brings over15 years of senior central government experience, and leverages her extensive knowledge of government, indigenous communities, legislation and legislative processes, and consultation to help organizations achieve their goals through best practices in accessibility, diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation. 

Jennifer Sande is a creative and collaborative social justice advocate, with extensive focus over the last 5 years on accessibility and inclusion for people living with disabilities.  She brings a  unique combination of experience in both the private and public sector, and provides a perspective that sees both the opportunities and challenges from a client standpoint, and helps them chart a path to accessibility with practical solutions.  With strong ties to the disability community, including as past-executive director for the Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities, Jennifer ensures clients have the benefit of input from the community they serve as she helps them navigate government regulations around accessibility laws.
