About the Presenters:

Claire Forrest, Head of Programs at CanAssist, University of Victoria

Claire Forrest is Head of Programs at CanAssist, University of Victoria, where she leads initiatives including the Employment Strategy for Youth with Disabilities (ESYD) - a $4 million BC Government-funded program to improve employment outcomes for youth with disabilities. With a PhD in Psychology from the University of Bath and over 15 years of experience working with children and young people with diverse needs, Claire brings a research-rigorous, human-centred lens to her work. She has held roles at UCL's Institute of Education in London, managed large-scale randomized controlled trials, and published widely in peer-reviewed journals. Claire approaches her career through the social model of disability-centring individuals' voices in program design, policy interpretation, and workplace inclusion. She is passionate about moving organizations beyond compliance toward genuinely accessible and equitable practices.

Tiffany Parks, Program Coordinator at the Division of Continuing Studies, University of Victoria

Tiff Parks is a Program Coordinator in the Division of Continuing Studies at the University of Victoria. Her work supports educational programs focused on intercultural communication, accessibility, and equity, diversity, and inclusion. She is passionate about lifelong learning and creating opportunities for people to participate fully, contribute meaningfully, and bring their full selves to work, learning, and community.
