Professional Mentorship Program (PMP) Overview

CPHR Manitoba’s Professional Mentorship Program (PMP) is open to members only.

Whether you are a newcomer to the field of HR, a mid-level practitioner, or a senior practitioner, the PMP can support you to expand, refine and build new skills.

The goal of the program is to provide mutual benefit to both Mentors and Mentees, fostering an environment of mutual trust and respect. The relationship should be viewed as a partnership, where both parties openly and freely exchange ideas, discuss challenges and explore potential solutions.

If you already have an established mentor or mentee and you both mutually agree to be paired together for the duration of the program, you may request to be paired together. Each person should complete the appropriate application, followed up by an email to Lindsey Barnett to indicate that you would like to be paired with an existing mentor/mentee.

Applications for the 2018 – 2019 program are being accepted until August 3, 2018.

Participants in this year's program will be using an online platform, MentorCity, to facilitate the mentoring relationship. This program will provide increased engagement for each pairing and guide you along the way in your journey through the program.

We are looking forward to launching this program and hope that each pairing utilizes it to its fullest potential. The capabilities are endless and we can't wait to share it with you!

Time Commitment

The PMP runs from September to April. Participants are expected to commit to a minimum of 2-4 hours per month to interacting with their mentoring partner, with the form and frequency varying for each pair.
