CPHR Manitoba has partnered with Responsible Cannabis Use (RCU) to offer our members discounted rates on their e-learning programs. We have partnered with RCU to offer this webinar on the top of updating your substance management policy to include cannabis. Learn about why in a legalized cannabis market, employers have a responsibility, and a vested interest, to educate their employees on cannabis in the workplace. This session will help you:
- Understand why simply adding the word cannabis to your substance management policy is not enough.
- Understand how cannabis education in the workplace can help in mitigate operational risk
- Understand how to talk to your employees about cannabis and impairment in the workplace. ( to be confirmed)

Panelists: Karina Karassev - COO, Responsible Cannabis Use Karina is currently the COO of RCU, a cannabis education company. RCU provides an e-learning course CannEd - which covers cannabis in the context of the workplace made for employees, people managers, and HR professionals in all industries. Prior to RCU, Karina spent 10 years at Sun Life Financial, Canada’s top insurance company, who were the first Canadian insurer to add medical cannabis coverage into their Group Benefit plans.
Ken Doige - Founder & CEO, ESRM Solutions inc. Ken Doige is the founder and CEO a corporate security consulting firm with clients in North America and around the world – ESRM Solutions Inc. Ken is a corporate security and emergency management professional with over 30 years of experience in corporate security sectors and law enforcement. Ken holds a valid Health Canada security clearance certificate and is authorized to hold the role of HoS as required by HC regulations.
