The Cost of Assumed Alignment: Why Strategic Plans Drift in Stable-but-Uncertain Times

Description:

Most organizations have a strategy. Few have a system to execute it. This session takes HR leaders behind the curtain of real execution challenges: unclear decision rights, accountability gaps, and meetings that consume time without moving anything forward. Using a narrative case study, we follow a people leader navigating each breakdown and applying practical tools to fix them: team charters, communication planning, RACI in practice, and accountability cadences. You'll leave with a structured approach to spotting execution drift early and the tools to address it before it becomes expensive. Tactical, tool-forward, and immediately applicable.

In this webinar, you'll learn to:

  • Identify where execution breaks down after a strategic plan is set
  • Apply a RACI matrix in practice, not just in theory
  • Design accountability cadences that keep teams moving between planning cycles
  • Use a team charter to surface hidden misalignment before it compounds
  • Recognize HR's role as an early warning system for strategy drift

Who Should Attend:

This session is designed for senior HR leaders, CHROs, VPs of People, and HR Business Partners who are embedded in organizational execution. It is particularly relevant for those working in organizations with an existing strategy that is struggling to gain traction where priorities are unclear, cross-functional work is stalling, or accountability is assumed rather than structured.
