At CPHR Manitoba we are committed to building the strategic capability and organizational impact of HR practitioners, and providing value to our members. 

To further support the Continued Professional Development (CPD) needs of our growing population of Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHRs), and in recognition of the quality of some of the HR professional development programs offered throughout Manitoba, we are proud to offer the Pre-approved for CPD Program.

What is the Pre-approved for CPD Program?

This program provides organizations that deliver HR and strategic business programming the ability to guarantee CPHR Continued Professional Development (CPD) Hours for participants who enrol in their program(s).

Attaching the Endorsement Seal to your instructional program marketing materials communicates that your program has been reviewed and approved to guarantee CPHR CPD Hours. 

Once your program has been approved, you will pay a yearly fee for a licence and the right to use the Endorsement Seal. Licences are granted for one year and require completion of an annual renewal form.

What are the benefits to participating providers?

You've probably been asked if your professional development programs are eligible for CPHR CPD Hours. Receiving accredited status for your program(s) will allow you to:

• guarantee CPHR CPD Hours
• receive recognition in CPHR Manitoba's marketing of the program (web calendar of upcoming approved programs, link to web calendar in our weekly newsletter & monthly email listing of upcoming approved programs sent to the entire CPHR Manitoba membership)
• enhance your marketing to a growing group of CPHR designation holders (currently over 600 in Manitoba)
• increase recognition for the quality of your offering

Check back often to see what programs our providers have coming up. New providers and programs are always being added!

Approved providers are responsible for sending dates of upcoming programs to be included in our marketing efforts. 

Approved providers will have the privilege to further promote their instructional program for a discounted rate of 20% off of the regular fees for a dedicated e-blast. Contact laura@cphrmb.ca for more details. 

After completing an approved program, members will be provided with an 'Event Identification Number' from the course provider, which they can use when completing their CPD log to guarantee those hours will count toward their professional development.

All Approved Providers must adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Information Guide. 

Recording Pre-Approved CPD Hours in your Log

After completing an approved program, members will be provided with an 'Event Identification Number' from the course provider, which they can use when completing their CPD log to guarantee those hours will count toward their professional development. Note: the Event Identification Number should be included in the ‘description’ of the activity.
