Campus Ambassador Program

About the Program

This program is designed for full-time HR students currently enrolled in one of CPHR Manitoba’s accredited post-secondary HR programs. We are looking for students to be a representative and advocate for CPHR Manitoba within their post-secondary program and institution. Ambassadors will work to build relationships with peers and faculty while promoting CPHR Manitoba and the CPHR designation. This is a volunteer position for the 2025-2026 post-secondary school year that will require approximately 5 hours of commitment each month.

Application periods vary, see How To Apply section for programs currently accepting applications. To be eligible for the Campus Ambassador position, you must be a full-time student in one of the programs specified and a student member of CPHR Manitoba.

    • Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Learning and Development

  • Red River College Polytech
    • Human Resource Management Certificate
    • Business Administration Diploma (HR Major)

  • University of Manitoba
    • Extended Education Human Resource Management Certificate
    • I.H Asper School of Business Bachelor of Commerce (HR Major)
    • Bachelor of Arts (Advanced Major or General Major in Labour Studies)

  • University of Winnipeg Faculty of Business and Economics
    • Bachelor of Business Administration (Specialization in Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour) 

  • University of Winnipeg Professional Applied & Continuing Education (PACE)
    • Human Resource Management Diploma

 

Expectations of CPHR Manitoba Student Ambassadors

  • Connect with student clubs and career centres to share information about CPHR Manitoba and the CPHR designation
  • Hold small info sessions and/or focus groups with peers
  • Plan student social events for CPHR Manitoba
  • Promote CPHR Manitoba and the CPHR designation by sharing social media posts
  • Communicate benefits of student membership to peers

Requirements

The ideal candidates must:

  • Be a full-time student enrolled in one of the above programs and a student member with CPHR Manitoba
  • Have strong communication skills and experience with public speaking
  • Have strong relationship building skills
  • Be passionate about HR and interested in pursuing the CPHR designation
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Have the ability to prioritize and manage expectations
  • Demonstrate leadership skills
  • Be willing to take initiative
  • Be a creative thinker and problem solver
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor when interacting with peers and faculty
  • Be comfortable working with various virtual platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams

* Familiarity with CPHR Manitoba and the pathways to achieving the CPHR designation will be considered an asset

* Faculty recommendation letter is an asset
