Walk and Talk

About the Program

CPHR Manitoba’s Walk and Talk program is open to members only. This program is designed for student members and recent grads to connect one-on-one with an HR professional for a 2-hour discussion.

This program is offered three times per year in Summer, Fall and Spring. Notice of when the application period will open will be communicated on this page and in the weekly HRmatters newsletter.

The goal of the program is to provide CPHR Manitoba student members and recent grads the opportunity to have a one-on-one connection with an established professional without a long-term commitment. The 2-hour time slot can be completed at one time or divided into two 1-hour slots.

  • Deadline to register: Friday, October 24, 2025
  • Cost – FREE
  • CPD Hours: 2

What previous participants had to say about the program:

“I thoroughly enjoy being a part of CPHR Manitoba's Walk and Talk program. It’s rewarding to share my experiences and provide guidance to new HR professionals as they embark on their careers. We all benefit from support in our journeys, and being able to provide that within our Manitoba community is especially important to me. It's a fulfilling experience to help build strong connections and contribute to the growth of our local HR network.”
