The HR Excellence Awards is our most prestigious event of the year – as we celebrate and recognize the HR professionals who display effective strategic people leadership and organizations that implement significant and impactful HR initiatives. The Awards are an important component of CPHR Manitoba’s work to elevate the HR profession, highlight leading practices and celebrate HR excellence across Manitoba.

This event helps inspire organizations and professionals by showcasing award-winning practices within Manitoba’s HR community that build stronger, future-ready workforces.

Application Process

Applying for an HR Excellence Award is a two-step process. We are now accepting applications for Part One, which has an application deadline of October 31, 2026. Part One consists of ONE Question to be completed on SurveyMonkey. It should take less than 10 minutes to complete your application!

Judging Process

Applications are evaluated by independent volunteer judges using consistent and standardized scoring criteria aligned to each award category.

Best practices for submitting an effective nomination for the HR Excellence Awards typically include:

FCPHR

The Fellow CPHR award is a prestigious honourary award that recognizes members who have made exemplary contributions to the profession. The FCPHR recognizes leadership, outstanding achievement and exceptional contribution to the profession.

Applications for the FCPHR are coordinated through CPHR Canada. CPHR Manitoba will notify members when the window opens, typically around October 15. Successful recipients will be recognized at a future HR Excellence Awards Gala.
