CPHR Manitoba has partnered with Mindset Mental Health Strategy to offer this webinar
Mental health-related disabilities are often invisible and present a challenge for employers responsible for providing accommodations in the workplace, especially because the solutions aren’t as concrete as an ergonomic chair or standing desk. But in reality, most accommodations for mental health concerns cost very little and have significant, positive impacts for everyone involved. As we enter a post-pandemic work world, employers across all sectors can anticipate a higher incidence of mental health issues in their workforce that will require their support. Join this session to learn the fundamentals of accommodating mental health issues, including an overview of common accommodation strategies and how to start creating a culture that supports the mental health of every employee. In this presentation you will learn: - How to approach accommodation as an ongoing process versus a one-time support
- A simple method to determine the type of accommodations that may be required
- Common low-cost, high value accommodations for employees with mental health conditions
- Practical ways to begin shaping a culture that supports mental health
