HRMAM Excellence Awards recognize outstanding HR practice

When the host of the evening, Chrissy Troy took to the stage at the HRMAM HR Excellence Awards gala, she said what every person in the audience already knew about HR: "You are the first line of defence and the last line of defence. You make everyone's workplace better."

The awards gala took place on Wednesday, April 22, with over 200 people gathered at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre, co-presented by the Winnipeg Free Press and Manitoba Blue Cross.

While the gala aims to celebrate the outstanding work done in the HR profession by individuals and organizations, this year, it also reflected a new level of professionalism and refinement, and captured the ever-evolving nature of the HR profession. The award categories focused on the business excellence and professional excellence that the Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba now embraces as its mission: advancing the Human Resource profession - driving business excellence.
