Congratulations to our new Fellow CPHRs

CPHR Manitoba is proud to announce that Colleen Coates and Lana Adeleye-Olusae will be granted the Fellow of the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (FCPHR) Award at the upcoming HR Excellence Awards.

The Fellow CPHR award is a prestigious award that recognizes CPHRs who have made exemplary contributions to the profession. This award recognizes leadership, outstanding achievement and exceptional contribution to the HR profession.

In 2023, Colleen concluded her seven-year term on the CPHR Manitoba Board of Directors including Chair of the Board. Colleen remains an active community volunteer. When she was a member of the Board of Directors, Colleen played an important role in the organization’s drive for self-governance. With CPHR Manitoba’s leadership team, she participated in the development of new governance policies, practices, and committees to help prepare the organization for the eventuality of self-governance.

Lana is currently the CPHR Manitoba Board Chair. He is a strong advocate of the HR profession among government agencies and policymakers. He and Ron Gauthier, the CEO established a relationship with the Government in Manitoba to have a bill passed for CPHR Manitoba to be a self-regulatory body. He advocated and lobbied for the passing of Bill 233, The Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Act.  This required establishing relationships with the two major political parties to pass the Bill that made CPHR Manitoba a self-regulatory body in Manitoba. He is working with Ron Gauthier, the CEO to further CPHR Manitoba's relationship with the Manitoba Government.
