CPHR Manitoba’s HR Conference, HRevolution, mirrors the growth and advancements of the HR industry and its positioning in the workplace.

Its series of breakout sessions explore the different sides of HR – in areas of strategic thinking, leadership, awareness, health and wellness – to equip participants with the building blocks that support the foundation of organizational policies, legislative requirements and corporate morale.

Session topics include Human Capital Trends: The Future of HR, where participants will review and examine some of the top trends impacting Canadian Businesses and HR professionals; Lessons Learned from the Client’s Mental Health Disability Journey, where participants will take a journey through disability with shared insights and experiences; and Uncovering the Unconscious Bias: Powerful Strategies to Address the #MeToo Movement, where participants will explore the meaning of unconscious biases, how they impact our decision-making and how we can overcome them in our work practices.

Its Keynote Speakers extend the HR platform further with in-depth observations and discussions about the “age of distraction”, the power of negotiation, motivating the HR revolution and the power/consequences that come with making a choice.

Scott Stratten, President of UnMarketing, will be speaking about HR in the Age of Disruption: Separating Fact From Fiction, which covers extensive ground about how to hire and retain millennials, handle the fallout of an employee and see insubordination as a positive, not negative; Georges Lévesque, Negotiations Expert, will be discussing the rationalization, decision-making and action of terminating an employee and the emotional ties that come with that action; Denise Ryan, Motivational Speaker, will be working with participants to re-ignite their passion for HR; and Chuck Gallagher, Business Ethics Expert, will be educating audiences about the power of making a choice and the string of consequences that come with it.

And its networking reception is the perfect opportunity for everyone to connect and learn about one-another in the industry.

Ron Gauthier, Chief Executive Officer with CPHR Manitoba, is pleased with the evolution of the conference, its offerings and the value it brings to the HR industry.

“Since 2012, CPHR Manitoba has been offering and growing its HR conference to meet the evolving needs of the HR industry in Manitoba. On behalf of the Association, I’m pleased to announce that HRevolution meets those needs by offering a selection of cutting-edge breakout sessions and keynote speakers that spark thought-provoking discussions that are in alignment with industry trends,” says Gauthier.
