Come network with fellow HR professionals and hear insights from CPHR Manitoba's CEO, Ron Gauthier and special guest speaker, Nish Verma, who has held the designation for over 20 years! While this night spotlights CPHRs, it is open to all members, making it a great opportunity to expand your professional connections.

About Our Special Guest Speaker:



Nish Verma, FCPHR

Nish Verma is a business-focused HR executive recognized for driving organizational growth, operational transformation, and leadership excellence. As Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Operating Officer at Mondetta Clothing International, he has been instrumental in supporting the company’s rapid expansion. Nish leads strategy development, process modernization, and executive talent initiatives that strengthen performance, accelerate decision-making, and build the capabilities needed for long-term competitive success.

With strategic leadership roles spanning healthcare, provincial government, technology, and international business, Nish brings a rare blend of operational insight and people strategy. As Assistant Deputy Minister for the Government of Manitoba and Chief Human Resources Officer for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority — Manitoba’s largest employers — he modernized HR service delivery, advanced workforce planning, and led technology-enabled improvements impacting employees. He led direct province-wide HR restructuring and efficiency gains across staff and multiple departments.

Nish’s career foundation includes notable roles in telecommunications and technology across the UK, Middle East, and South-East Asia Pacific with organizations such as Hewlett Packard—where he was recognized among the company’s top emerging leaders. His experience developing high-performance teams in both unionized and non-union environments has positioned him as a respected leader in organizational change and talent development.

A Fellow Chartered Professional in Human Resources  (FCPHR) and recipient of Canada’s top national score for CHRP certification, Nish also holds a Project Management Professional designation and multiple academic distinctions, including a Bachelor of Engineering and Certified Executive Coach. Passionate about advancing the HR profession, he contributed as Board Chair for CPHR Manitoba and served on the national board for CPHR Canada. He is also a sought-after instructor, speaker, and mentor at the Universities.

Nish is driven by a clear philosophy: organizational success is achieved when strategy, structure, and talent are aligned with bold business direction. He leverages clear communication, performance clarity, and continuous improvement to deliver results in complex, fast-moving environments. A Fellow Chartered Professional in Human Resources and recognized top performer throughout his career, Nish continues to champion executive leadership that enables organizations — and their people — to thrive.
