Professional Excellence Award Categories:

CPHR Manitoba Scholarship Award

One scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time student enrolled in a Degree program with an outstanding portfolio of academic, leadership, extra-curricular and human resource activities.

One scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time student enrolled in an Accredited Certificate or Diploma Program with an outstanding portfolio of academic, leadership, extra-curricular and human resource activities.

Nominees must meet the following criteria:

• CPHR Manitoba student member in good standing 
• Currently enrolled in a full-time program of study in Manitoba majoring in Human Resources 
• Will maintain full-time student status during Winter term (January-April)
• Human resources work experience (paid or voluntary)
• Volunteer experience that requires leadership

Rising Star Award

For impressive accomplishments and results in the first five years of Human Resources experience. 

Nominees must meet the following criteria:

• CPHR Manitoba member in good standing as a CPHR Candidate 
• Employed in HR profession for 5 years or less 
• Physically employed by an organization based in Manitoba

HR Professional of the Year Award 

For developing, championing and implementing an initiative, program or project that clearly and measurably demonstrates a positive impact in the organization.
Nominees must meet the following criteria:

• CPHR Manitoba member in good standing as a CPHR or CPHR Candidate
• Employed in HR profession for 5 years or more 
• Physically employed by an organization based in Manitoba

HR Executive of the Year Award

For leadership and implementation of strategic responses to address economic, societal, technological, political or demographic trends that could impact the organization and human resources practices. Nominees must meet the following criteria:

• CPHR Manitoba member in good standing OR an HR Executive who holds a professional designation in another profession
• Physically employed by an organization based in Manitoba

HR Patron of the Year Award

For an executive(s) who endorses, supports or champions the HR function within their organization. More than one recipient may be named for this award each year.
Nominees must meet the following criteria:

• Holds an Executive-level position outside of Human Resources 
• Physically employed by an organization based in Manitoba
• Membership with CPHR Manitoba is not required

FCPHR

The Fellow CPHR award is a prestigious honourary award that recognizes members who have made exemplary contributions to the profession. The FCPHR recognizes leadership, outstanding achievement and exceptional contribution to the profession.

Applications for the Fellow CPHR are accepted on a continuing basis. Successful recipients whose application has been received prior to December 14, 2018 will be recognized at the 2019 HR Excellence Awards.
