Current Openings:

CPHR Manitoba Board Directors 2025-2026

Our Board is passionate about advancing the human resources profession. Our strategic Plan focuses on key areas to help the profession and association grow, and is based on three pillars:

  1. Promote the CPHR brand
  2. Support CPHR development
  3. Foster public confidence in CPHRs

These pillars guide the long-term direction for the organization and serve as the foundation for annual business plans going forward.

To help guide and provide leadership to our plan, the CPHR Manitoba Board is seeking board members that will bring passion for the mission as well as have a diverse skill set including:

  • Being a senior leader with strategic experience in HR, business, legal, government, academic or non-profit fields;
  • Having previous board experience (preferred); and
  • Passionate about growing the profession

Please note that each year, a slate of Nominees for the Board of Directors is presented to the membership at the annual general meeting in September.

How to Apply for the Board of Directors

MEMBERS: Deadline to apply for the 2025-2026 Board of Directors: Friday, June 6, 2025.

Non-Members/Public Reps: Are you a licensed professional (CPA, P.Eng, etc) interested in applying to serve on our board of directors as a public representative? Please send us your interest by Friday, June 6, 2025. 

 

CPHR Manitoba Board Committees 2025-2026

Board committees report directly to the Board of Directors. The following board committees are seeking volunteers:

  • Audit Committee
  • Awards Committee (scoring of HR Excellence Awards applications)
  • Membership Committee 
  • Complaints & Investigations Committee 
  • Discipline Committee
  • Professional Standards Committee

CPHR Manitoba Staff Committees 2025-2026

Staff committees are managed by and report back to staff. The following staff committees are seeking volunteers:

  • Conference Committee 
  • Experience Assessment Committee
  • Awards Gala Nominations Committee
  • CPD Audit Committee
  • Westman Chapter Advisory Council (live and/or work in the Westman region)
  • Pembina Valley Chapter Advisory Council (live and/or work in the Pembina Valley region)

Public Representatives

We seek volunteers from outside our membership to serve on our regulatory committees including the Complaints & Investigation Committee and Discipline Committee. Both committees are integral to our commitment to protect the public. These are non-member committee roles. 

 

Please note when a complaint against a member is received, a panel (composed of a sub-group of members from the committee) is formed and assigned to the case. As such, frequency of volunteer work will vary depending on number of complaints received. Appointments are made for a three-year term and can be renewed once, for a total of 6 years of service.

Members: To apply to serve on a committee, please complete the online form here (it will prompt you to login to your member profile). Qualifications for each committee vary and the Terms of Reference should be read in full prior to applying.

We thank all applicants in advance for their interest. Each year, some committees receive more interest than space available. We will be in touch over the summer to confirm the status of your application.
